Freeter Freeze Dried Strawberry Waffles Recipe

Ingredients
:

  • 1/4 cup Freeters freeze dried strawberry
  • 1/4 cup soft butter
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • a pinch of baking soda
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • butter for greasing
  • powder

Instructions:

  1. In a deep bowl, combine the soft butter, powdered sugar, and milk. Use a whisk to mix well until the sugar has completely dissolved.
  2. Add the self-rising flour, salt, and baking soda to the bowl. Mix well using a whisk.
  3. Add the Freeters freeze dried strawberry powder and mix well until the batter is smooth and there are no lumps.
  4. Add the vanilla essence and lemon juice to the batter and mix well.
  5. Preheat a waffle iron.
  6. Grease the waffle iron with a little bit of butter or cooking spray.
  7. Use a 1/3 cup measuring cup to scoop the batter and spread it evenly into 2 waffle moulds.
  8. Close the waffle iron and cook for 4 to 5 minutes or until the waffles are crispy and golden brown.
  9. Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and place them on a plate.
  10. Serve the waffles immediately with honey, maple syrup, or chocolate sauce.

Additional Tips:

  1. If you don't have self-rising flour, you can make your own by mixing 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1 1/2 tsp of baking powder and 1/4 tsp of salt.
  2. Adjust the amount of Freeters strawberry powder according to your preference for the strawberry flavour. You can add more or less depending on how strong you want the flavour to be.
  3. To keep the waffles warm while you cook the rest of the batter, place them in a preheated oven at 200°F (93°C) until ready to serve.
